Planning For A New Fence
Our display with over 40 styles of fence to choose from
When adding a fence there are several important questions to ask...
Site Factors to be considered:
The first question to be asked is...
"Why do I want a fence?
What purpose will it serve?
-
Security or Boundary Marker
-
Privacy
-
Decorative
-
Requirements
(i.e. Swimming pool, local ordinance etc.)
The Step by step Approach:
1. Obtain a copy of your property survey. Be sure the desired location of fence lines do not exceed property lines. This is very important. We recommend that all posts be set approximately 6" inside of the property line to avoid encroaching on adjoining property. You may wish to sketch out desired fence location.
2. Check with your local building department or refer to your homeowner's association for deed restrictions.
3. Consider the reasons you want or need a fence
-
Enhance the value of your home.
-
Ordinance requirements
(i.e. pool safety, boundary, etc.)
It's Your Choice:
There are many different types of fencing to fit each individual taste and budget. Select from systems such as chain link, ornamental, wood, PVC, or a combination of different styles.
Design Selection:
Choose the style of fencing... modern, traditional, contemporary or rustic; that best enhances your landscape setting and your privacy.
